Our Aviation Rescue & Fire Fighting Stations

We employ 650 staff to provide Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting services at 21 airports around Australia.

The size and frequency of aircraft operating at an airport determines the requirements for an ARFF service, the specialised vehicles and equipment needed and the number of staff required to support ARFF activities. At present Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth are the largest ARFF stations with the remaining locations at reduced levels. The scheduling and frequency of airline operations determines the hours of operation of each ARFF location.
